Of Masters and Their Slaves

"It only stands to reason that where there's sacrifice, there's someone collecting the sacrificial offerings. Where there's service, there is someone being served. The man who speaks to you of sacrifice is speaking of slaves and masters, and intends to be the master." ―Ayn Rand

The Truth About the Husayn Day "Peace" Walk of Saba Islamic Center

The Husayn Day "Peace" Walk is organized by Shia Association of Bay Area (Saba Islamic Center)

The so-called Husayn Day "Peace" Walk is a yearly event organized by Shia Association of Bay Area (Saba Islamic Center of San Jose, CA) and its associated Bay Area pro-Khomeini Shiite organizations (e.g., Fatimiyya Islamic Center of Hayward, CA, etc.). Saba has been organizing so-called "Peace" Walks since 2007. The event usually takes place at the San Jose City Hall Plaza, but in 2011 Saba and company opted instead to join the Occupy Oakland bandwagon and held the Walk at the Frank Ogawa Plaza in downtown Oakland. The move to Oakland coincided with calls from the Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei to his followers to join the Occupy movement for the purpose of undermining the West.

While the name of the event, "Husayn Day Peace Walk," gives a great impression because the word "Peace" was inserted into it, the truth is far from peaceful.

First, Imam Husayn, Peace be upon him, died while he was fighting in Karbala (he was not a pacifist). His righteous and holy actions there are nowadays unfairly invoked by the Khomeinists as an excuse for engaging in militancy and even terrorism. The flag that flies over the tomb of Imam Husayn, PBUH, in Karbala is red, symbolizing blood and war, not peace (and yes, the innocent and holy blood that was unjustly spilled on the plain of Karbala). Indeed, the Shiites invoke eternal calls for avenging Imam Husayn, PBUH. Hence, it is totally misleading to associate peace with the Walk.

Ali Raza Mir (a.k.a. Ishraq Abidi), son of the unwanted-in-the-USA mullah Nabi Raza Mir (a.k.a. Nabi Raza Abidi) led the Husayn Day "Peace" Walk procession down the streets of downtown Oakland.

Second, the organizers and attendees of the Walk have made it a policy to wear Basij/Pasdaran scarves, symbolizing their loyalty to the Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamanei. The Basij and the Pasdaran are Iranian military organizations controlled by Khamenei and listed as terrorist entities by the U.S. Department of State. Hence, the true purpose of the Walk is political, with an agenda hidden from an American public unaware of the symbolism to put forth on the streets of Bay Area cities. SABA and its followers are basically mocking the American public!

Third, in general the SABA Islamic Center speakers are well-known radical militants. They include the likes of Zaki Baqri of Toronto (and Alipur, Karnataka), and Abdul Alim Musa. During the Walk event that took place on December 4, 2011, the speaker was none other than Malcolm Shabazz, the maternal grandson of Malcolm X. Shabazz used the occasion not only to incite racial strife, but also attacked Saudi Arabia and praised Hezbollah.

Hezbollah is an international terrorist organization extraordinaire held by the Iranian regime and by extension SABA as a role model for misguided and unfortunate Shiite youths.

The Husayn Day "Peace" Walk is the furthest thing from peace. It is about war, strife, militancy and terrorism hidden behind a facade of imaginary goodwill.
